BOB ANDERSON

At two and a half years sober Bob A realized that he was in a serious dilemma. That is, he was the same man sober as he was drunk. Although sober he thought and acted the same way. He was still mean and mad. He also realized that no matter how hard he tried or how much he vowed to change, he repeated the same performance. He was still irritable, restless and discontented. He was not happy, joyous and free in the day he was in. Nobody ever explained to him the disease of alcoholism and that lack of power is the dilemma. They would say, “keep coming back, eventually you’ll become a winner.”

They would talk about how they lost their house, their jobs or whatever they lost and how they got a new house, their job back and whatever else, but nobody would talk about the in between. Nobody would describe how the alcoholic mind functioned and how untreated alcoholism manifested into an unmanageable life. On a search to resolve his dilemma, Bob began a search for an answer.  Through trial and error, he became aware of how alcoholism, ego and self functioned in the day he was in. He found that the alcoholic lacks the power to live to good purpose, because he lost the power of choice in thinking, not just in drinking. He also found a way of life in which he could treat this disease and change, daily, through the application of the 12 Step Recovery Program.

Once Bob found this way of life, he devoted over 35 years of his life to teaching the 12 Step Program of Recovery. He has helped and continues to help thousands of alcoholics to recover, from all over the world through his works. Over the last twenty years of his life, he conducted numerous meetings, workshops and three-day retreats. These meetings, workshops and retreats were recorded.  A sample of these recordings can be heard on this site here.

this is ridiculous. ask bob’s wife and friends, or the police, if bob is the same man sober or drunk. personally, i would rather ride at 70 miles an hour on a freeway with sober bob, rather than drunk bob. you can do and think whatever you like, or ride with whoever you want, but sober alcoholics need to realize there is a reality out there, the only one, outside of AA.

I can’t find A Mind Powered Disease to save my life. I’ve tried Amazon, BN, Borders. I did find one for $94.58, but that’s a little out of my price range. Although, I’d spend that in a heart beat at a bar/club :-)

    Hello, Kevin
This book is usually sold at the Prime Time Monday night men’s stag meeting. Do you ever make it there?

I live in Atlanta, GA and cannot make that meeting. Sorry for not replying sooner. Thanks so much for your website. Watching Bob A’s video has really helped me keep sober.

Looking for some Mind Powered Disease books to be sent to me. I will, of course, pay shipping to Atlanta.

I can’t make the Prime Time Monday night stag meeting because I live in Atlanta, but I would really like to buy a copy of the book. Is there anyone I can contact? Perhaps, I can send a check for a couple of books because another person in my home group is seeking a book as well.

    Kevin,
If you can be patient and are willing to pay shipping, I should be able to send you 2 books.
Recently price went up to $17/book.
If you send me $34, plus shipping, and your address, I can get the books to you.
If you’re still interested, email me your info. You could either pay me through paypal, or send a check made out to me.
    Cheers

Hi, I live in Visalia, Ca, and I attended the convention in Woodland Hills. I was at the meeting Sunday morning, and I havent forgot about how inspirational what I heard there. I have 16 months, and I am so happy that I went. I attend meetings here but to tell the truth I was getting really burnt out because I was so tired of hearing the same drunk stories over and over. I love the fact that as a “New Comer” that I heard more on the solution. If I had cancer I wouldnt want the doctor keep reminding me of the fact I have cancer. I would want the treatment. I thank God for giving me the chance to go to my first convention and that he put the Prime Time Group in my life. That God let me hear the hope that I needed through all of you. I wish we had a Prime Time meeting here in Tulare County. You said that I would be able to hear the speakers on the internet could you please tell me how I can find your speakers?
    Thank you
    Debbie McClellan

    Hello Debbie,

Thank you for your thoughtful post.

There are two ways you can access our speakers. 1) Go to the AUDIO SAMPLES tab and you can hear them directly from the web.
    2) Go to the Primetime Library and go to the speakers folders (2009, 2010, 2011). There’s plenty of material there to download and listen to on your computer, phone or mp3 player.

    Blessings,
    John S
